Who we are
Types of data we collect :-
Cookies are small files which are stored on a user's computer. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific to a particular client and website, and can be accessed either by the web server or the client computer.
We don’t deliberately add any cookies to our websites. However we do use Mobirise software to design and publish our websites. We also use LimeSurvey software to generate our online surveys. These may contain cookies to enable better user navigation of the site and allow survey users to return to a partially completed survey.
Our social media platforms providers, Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp and Instagram all have their own published privacy policies which you should refer to if needed.
Google Analytics :
We may use Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Community Surveys :
From time to time we conduct community surveys, generally on line, but may also use paper versions. These surveys are used to inform our work and support our interaction with other organisations like Manchester City Council and dunding bodies.
Each survey will provide information about what data is collected and how it will be used. Generally, any data provided will be amalgamated to provide statistics to inform the survey results and will never be passed to any third party. We will also ask for comments, suggestions, complaints in text form. Generally we will publish this as an edited list without any personal contact details.
Personal contact information will only be asked for if you indicate that you would like to stay informed about the survey results, or take an active role with the Whalley Rangers, and then only used to facilitate that.
Ticketing Data :
We operate community markets to generate an income to support our running costs. Stall fees are collected through BACS transfers, but we will collect customer information in order to issue invoices. This information is stored in our online accounting software at www.quickfile.co.uk.
We are required to keep this information for 7 years. Any information relating to our financial records is therefore exempted from the right to be unduly deleted or unduly amended as stated in the following section
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer, Dave Saunders, firstname.lastname@example.org
